HONG KONG: ITV Granada is planning to launch a high-definition version of its channel on MEASAT-3 for viewers across Asia and the Middle East starting next month.

Audiences will be able to watch first-run HD original productions such as Lewis, Vera, Poirot and I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!. The channel is set to join the MEASAT-3 HD video distribution platform in September.
Augustus Dulgaro, the senior VP for the Asia Pacific at ITV Studios Global Entertainment, commented, “With so much of ITV’s large and diverse catalogue being produced in native high definition, we are delighted to announce ITV Granada’s move to HD on the MEASAT platform. With this increased ease of access for our channel distribution partners, ITV Granada viewers will now be able to enjoy the benefits of our improved services, at the highest possible quality.”
