I think some creative freedom is fine. Hollywood often make changes in mythology based stories to present it in modern way. In India, these kind of things always draw criticism.
But I agree with that Bihar Orissa people don't understand part. Kalki response is mixed to negative from B & C Hindi centres. Kalki Hindi collection majority came from multiplex chain & getting positive response. These B & C centres will most probably be houseful for pushpa 2 & help to cross 500 crores. Some people getting offended but box office numbers & reception supporting the statement.
Aside criticism part, Mukesh Khanna actually praised the movie for it's visual & larger than life presentation
