Kappa TV goes on air today
The Mathrubhumi group's second channel, Kappa TV - a specialty entertainment channel - will go on air from Monday.
The content is basically music and fun. The channel will air music in four languages - Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi and English.

Movie-based shows, talk shows and programmes on food, lifestyle, environment, travel and tradition will be part of the programmes.
"The channel speaks Malayalam and English, and is positioned to suit the upwardly mobile Malayali anywhere in the world", said Mohan Nair, CEO, Mathrubhumi TV.
It has a uniaque format suited for media crossover and is positioned to reach all media platforms - TV, internet and mobile.
"All shows are in short format with nothing exceeding more than five minutes. A unique format in Indian television, it is designed to catch up with our fast-paced lives", said Nair.
The channel will also showcase the finest talent in the music and film industry, a platform for emerging film makers, musicians and artistes to reach a wider audience. Cross-genre experimental music is one of the highlights of this channel, he added.
Kappa will also kickstart its campaign with a Music Video Festival for independent filmmakers.
