Amitabh Bachchan show is set to launch on or around Monday 28th August. However, the channel is still said to be weighing in all the options to either launch this month or put it back until the first week of September.
‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ is expected to take the 21:00 weekday slot.
Sony Entertainment Television (SET) is all set to launch its popular game show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ in September. The Amitabh Bachchan-hosted show, which is coming back in its ninth season after three years, will be aired at 9 pm, every Monday to Friday. The new season will replace the channel’s other show ‘Beyhadh’, which will shoot its last episode on 22 August. “‘Beyhadh’ is a finite series and will come to end in August. The 9-pm slot will be replaced by the ninth season of KBC in September. We have lined up several new shows which will be launching in the coming three months,” SET EVP and business head Danish Khan told TelevisionPost.com. With the new season, the channel is making some changes to its format. Besides being on a grander scale than the previous seasons, the new edition will focus on common people and real-life heroes. The presentation of the ninth season is kept subtle with no added jazz like movie integration
