Magnum SD pack price increased

As I mentioned in my first post, they sent me a message that price increased to Rs 580. But till now, my account page is showing Rs. 562 only and I did the recharge just now and didn't see any change in the package price. My package is dated as Nov-11.

The current price is Rs.562/-

The revised price is Rs.580/-

Bad move by Airtel.

Launch of New Magnum Packages
Kindly note w.e.f 25th September ’13, we have launched New Magnum and South Magnum packs. Details are mention below.

Magnum, Rs.565/M, Rs.5500 for 12M
South Magnum,Rs.580/M,Rs.5800 for 12M
Magnum 17 HD, Rs.650/M, Rs.6500 for 12M
South Magnum 17 HD, Rs.650/M, Rs.6490 for 12M.

Notes –

1. There are no free days available for these ARP.
2. Magnum pack to provide all SD Channels now pack does not includes non channels(interactive and PPVs), HBO hits, HBO defined, special channels and 23 south channels and South Magnum pack does not include non channels (interactive and PPVs), HBO hits, HBO defined.
3. Retailer margin of 2% on 6 month ARP and 3% for 12 month pack remains same.
4. Monthly standard packs also available in SD and 17 HD versions will new pricing.
5. Only 12 month variant of advance rental pack will be available for Magnum and South Magnum.
6. Old Magnum pack will be closed on 30th September’13

As I posted in the first post, my pack got automatically migrated to "South Magnum standard pack Sept'13 @ Rs. 580 pm"

And as mentioned by "Dth Thrissur", totally 266 channels available in this pack. Only Udhaya TV is missing. Surya TV and Kiran TV are there in the list.

The old Magnum pack is now having only 246 channels (20 south channels are missing) which is useful for ROI users.

I think they are following D2H method where they have Platinum and South Platinum. In Platinum no south channels will be offered as free top up. In south platinum pack, we can get two south top ups.

Anyway, we cannot get all south channels in D2H. But in airtel we can get (if you are not bothering about the price difference )

removing channel and then rate hike.

and worst part is that adtv following d2h stategy

d2h wont allow roi user, example Maharashtra, up, delhi user to subscribe to south version.

this is very disappointing.

if some south person came to delhi or Mumbai for job or any other purpose and brought d2h he has to pay extra for watching all those south channels,

otherwise if he stayes in south those all channel will be free.

Plz confirm whether adtv roi user can be allowed to subscribe to south magnum pack or not.

Magnum pack price is lower than South Magnum pack. So, for ROI users not interested in south channels, they can opt Magnum pack in lower cost..
