It's a good move by the Tata Sky. Now they an exactly know how many people need Sony channels in their base package and can negotiate with the channels providers. This strategy is also adopted by the Dish TV against HBO, CN, CNN, WB, Hungama, and NDTV. For me Hungama, CN, and NDTV were useless so, I didn't even care to give them miss bell to dish TV even to get the channels for free in my package because I really never watch them

When Airtel had issue with Star network remember the way Tata sky teased Airtel publicly using all mediums. But this time I don't think other Dth operator will do such cheap act. Being premium Dth operator such poor show was not expected from Tata sky. Now ask Amitabh to do one ad for Tata sky's current condition.

Bro I am a Airtel DTH Users. But In My Opinion Tata Sky Not Done Any Cheap Thing. Every Operators Wait For Right Moment To Grab More Customer. That Time Airtel Faced Problem So Simply Tata Sky Take Advantage. This time just only Some Hours passed. Just Wait I Think This Time Also All Other Operators Try To Grab Customers Also.

Removal of SET MAX HD is a very very bad move. This is considered to be an important movie channel. Other channels' removal may be justified for a small period of time.

Tata Sky may have removed the channels but after how many years did such a situation come ? 2 years or 4 years, when were channels last removed?

Every time when newspaper advt used to come about channels removal, we TS users confidently used to say everything will be sorted out. This time however its removed but its not a big deal.

Secondly TS may be charging high for packs but they charge Rs 100 for service visit and Rs 99 for HDAF which is cheap. Their CC has details for about most of the info we want and they are always helpful, evey JSat offer is used by some or the other customer.

TS if they feel something has gone wrong for which the customer is not responsible they will give refund if its related to any fee, many if our members have got refund in the past.

So I personally feel if TS has removed these channels for whatever reason they are at fault, but we must not forget the good thing's to do to make us happy.

Guys, please understand how this works instead of blame game and frustration. Yes, I agree this was a shocker at initial stage. I was frustrated too. Though this is an aggressive step, it will end good for Tata, Sony and ultimately us, customers.
Think about these:
  • Tata Sky can not afford to lose the subscriber base.
  • Sony can not afford to lose TRP because of reduced viewing.
  • Sony also can not afford to lose advertisers because of reduced reach.
  • Tata wants Sony to feel the heat or reducing viewership.
  • Sony may have wanted subscribers to move to different service to continue watching their channels but its not happening as most Tata Sky users are very happy with TS.
  • Now that Sony is facing the heat along the nation, it will be forced to negotiate with Tata and vice-versa.
  • By 2-3 days, things will arrive at a good stop and TS will add the channels back.
JUST WAIT.

Everyone will wait for 2-3 days and even weeks but if it continues and more channels removed from other providers by tata sky, subscribers will move out for sure.
