Indian Idol Marathi looks good, its something new, voices are good as well, don't know about TRP's, but it's Sony and Sony has a separate set of audience.

It was needed in weekends then weekdays as you know Serials in weekdays getting good trp also Bigboss Marathi is there + World Cup so reality show cant get trp in weekdays that too on channel like Sony Marathi it it would be in 8pm on weekends sure it would get trp as no competitors on Marathi channels at 8pm in weekends. Zee Marathi has nothing, Star Pravah airs mahaepisode whereas Colors Marathi airs nothing.

After seeing the auditions, being the first season in a regional language, I think Indian Idol Marathi has the potential to be a popular show, set aside huge TRP's, but it can be a good show having it's own audience.

Yes but not now as people are more busy in Big Boss Marathi and others in Serials no one will watch Indian idol in weekdays it was needed for Weekends surely more people would watch.

It's an overstatement, I know shows and Bigg Boss are going on, but not everyone is glued to them, Indian Idol Marathi brings some needed freshness, Zee Marathi used to rule this slot (Mon-Tue Nights) long ago, Now Sony has come in, some encouragement and a dedicated music audience will definitely drive this show.
