I think Star wil make changes in Hindi Movie Cluster on Independence Day, promotions might start 15 or 20 days prior to that.
My guess Star gold 2 will be Telecasting UTV production movies and UTV movies channel library movies

Star starting so many movies channel in hindi, Star Gold & Star Gold Select are ok in hindi but they are starting many channels in same genre & same language & compete self channels. But they don't want to start movie channel in Marathi. I don't know why they are treated Marathi audience like this? Now days they are stop showing movies on Star Pravah also. As BARC Ratings in Top 5 channels of marathi language one movie channel (Zee Talkies) is always grab the position. If star starts marathi movies channel they can also benefited.

Marathi is a very weak language for the Star network. Its traditional strengths are Malayalam and previously Bangla. Now Telugu is the biggest strength. Vijay is also doing very well (a huge lead over Zee Tamil and it has also entered the top 10). But Kannada and Marathi are very weak. Marathi is totally dominated by Zee. Jalsha Movies was launched in 2012 while there will never be a Pravah Movies.
Now days they are stop showing movies on Star Pravah also.
This means the only way to watch movies such as Daagdi Chawl, Ganvesh and YZ is on Hotstar. Pravah should show movies every morning like South Indian GECs do. Or it can show movies on Sunday like it used to do earlier (Jalsha stil does).

Zee Talkies is the only Marathi movie channel since Fakt Marathi is no longer a movie channel.
If star starts marathi movies channel they can also benefited.
Even Viacom (which is marginally more successful than Star in MH) is hesitant to launch a movie channel. Star will never do it.

Marathi is not weak language, always Hindi dominates marathi. Marathi is on 15th rank in widely spoken global language. Which ahead from telugu & tamil. So don't be call marathi language is weak. & In regards of Star they don't taken initiative to strengthen their position in marathi market. When channel newly launch (Star Pravah) it was ahead all of marathi channel, but later their negligence regarding programme line & shows they fallen in ratings.

There is a channel called Shemaroo maratibana

That is another channel not from star network like zee and colors they should launch a channel in Marathi for movies.

Each network has strengths and weaknesses be it in any genre or region so kindly do not expect everyone to have their chs across genres or even major genres. Networks do keep exploring possibilities if they see growth or success there, unnecessary jumping in leads to negative result and too much competition erodes quality of content bcoz of various factors
