Also I noticed on Airtel that the channel is a lot clearer than before, despite this not being an HD channel.. It felt like an HD quality channel..

At last, an Indian English news channel that drops the Helvetica Condensed font and goes for a modern and fresh new look. I’m sick and tired of Helvetica Condensed being used by Times Now, India Today, NewsX and (until today) Mirror Now (along with non-condensed Helvetica in WION and DD India). On top of this, flashy and mind-numbing graphics that are not at all classy.

The new Effra font is an awesome selection, which was actually used by Sony Max from 2015 to 2019. Congratulations to Mirror Now for breaking the clutter of Indian news channels’ graphics! Hope they switch to 16:9 soon like their big brother!
