I don't think so, as this sat covers all Indian beams. I think,it will be used for both civil & military purposes.yes it has 1 C beam but I think this sat is not for civilian use

After Antrix devas controversy I don't think they will allocate S band for civilian use for which there are 10 S band transponder, that leaves only 1 c band for civilian useI don't think so, as this sat covers all Indian beams. I think,it will be used for both civil & military purposes.

As per some TV news channels, that satellite going to be used for boosting up 4G Internet services, let's see how they will utilise.
Seems Some TV Channel Misleading Us By Giving Fake NewsDevas was the company which had a deal with ISRO in 2005 to use this sat for 4G but after scandal surface in 2011 over deal amount ISRO scrapped it and decided to hand over the sat to military.
