The DB Corp-owned radio channel has
launched a new show with Shekhar Suman
of Movers and Shakers fame.
MY FM has announced an exclusive show with
veteran Indian film actor and TV personality
Shekhar Suman called 'The Shekhar Suman
Show'. It will go on air in the primetime
evening slot of 7pm-8pm from Monday to
Saturday and will be aired across all its 17
stations.
Suman has been extremely popular for his
show 'Movers and Shakers', a nightly stand-up
comedy show, taking digs on news and current
affairs till it ended in 2001. The launch event
for the new show took place on July 19 in
Ahmedabad, with Suman and other stand-up
comedians Raju Srivastava and Suresh Albela
performing.
Commenting on the new show, Harrish M.
Bhatia, CEO, 94.3 MY FM, says, "Suman's
spontaneity connects immediately with the
listeners and I am sure that they will respond
warmly to his show."
Speaking on his new show, Suman says, "I am
looking forward to connect with my fans and
audiences. I promise that listeners can look
ahead to some entertaining times ahead as we
go along." Viplove Gupte national programming
head, My FM, says, "The listener, today, looks
at radio as a medium to entertain, educate and
build around opportunities of humour and fun.
We have kept our promise and will unveil some
more surprises."
94.3 MY FM is the radio business of DB Corp
launched in 2006. It took a bottom-up
approach and set up its network across 17 Tier
II and III cities across seven states, building on
the strong local understanding that the
Bhaskar Group had in these markets. MY FM
has established a network of 17 localised
stations focusing on individual market
preferences. http://www.afaqs.com/news/story/41547_MY-FM-launches-the-Shekhar-Suman-Show
