Yes, I see that. But still Windows 7 is better than Vista, so he could have thought of upgrading it. Or he might just wanted to stick with original genuine OS?

You are right bro. I would like to continue the genuine version given with the initial configuration. And moreover, it is Core-2-Duo processor and performance will be a problem if I am installing Windows 7 on it.

BTW, it is my personal laptop and I have Windows 7 on my official laptop Dell-Latitude.

You are right bro. I would like to continue the genuine version given with the initial configuration. And moreover, it is Core-2-Duo processor and performance will be a problem if I am installing Windows 7 on it.

My laptop also Dell inspiron 1525 with core 2 duo processor, originally came with windows vista. Later I installed windows 7 and windows 8 there is no performance issue.
