Need tips to fasten the boot process

Can someone share the tips how to speedup the booting for a HD DVR its taking more than 40 seconds

By putting yr stb on standby, u save power , but u accept all new downloads

I don't think there's any way to quicken the boot process. Because there's the procedure of checking hard drive also. The DVR gets very much heated up so I also do shutdowns and restarts to make the device cooler. The process is very slow and is definitely more than 40 secs, perhaps 1 and half minutes. Also, sometimes 'boot' display remains on screen and never go in some instances and I have to restart twice or thrice sometime, thanks to the perfect software form d2h!
