Need to re scan.

Now a days, we all need to re scan for new channel additions or for an LCN change. Previously it was automatically updated. Why this?.

Well, if you want instant update, you've to scan.

Now also it is getting added automatically but as Vishal said not so fast. Can take some hours.

There is no need to scan. If your STB is on when the channel is added it gets added instantly. If not You need to wait for around 5 to 10 minutes till it gets updated.That was what happened with me when 4 channels were added over the last couple of days.

Not like that bro... When Big Magic, Kappa TV and Mathrubumi are added, my STB was running. But I didn't find the channels in the LCN. After scanning only, the channels were available. So, at any stage, it will take time to update the channels and LCN in the STB...

Okay, but channels get added even without rescanning.That is what I was trying to point out.

I didn't scan at all but my stb was updated because it was running all the time !!!!
