@Ritesh bro, not all plans are available for Internet TV STB. They have got that right. The first executive you spoke to, should have given correct info. And I think this will change in the new tariff plan anyway, as you will be free to choose whatever you want.

As for downgrading, I think there's no official option to do so. You have to fight with them if you must downgrade, else you can just get a new HD connection. But IMO, downgrading now isn't a good option, as Internet TV is the best from Airtel and with the new tariff, there will be no restrictions on the plan you use with it.

Everything will be good in sometime, just be patient bro.
Yes bro, i agree.. They have every right but also their right is to inform subscriber with every detail before selling their product.
Practically, why would anyone spend Rs. 284 for SD channels?? But as i do not have any option left till 1st Feb, i have opted for Value Lite Plus + Max HD (284+225).

On a related note, is there a way to upgrade my HD STB to internet STB? I meant without paying for a new connection of course.

Sorry for the digress.

They inform their t&c in ULTRA MICRO SMALL LETTERS everytime. If you are taking airtel, you need magnifier to read those hidden conditions!

That is typical Airtel nature.

Airtel may create genre wise bouquets which will be cheaper & they may introduce their own packs which may be affordable.
Waiting for this. Have the genre-wise bouquets been created?

Logged into ADTV SelfCare. The "Change Basepack" option has vanished. Also, current Basepack's channel list cannot be viewed. So basically, Basepacks are locked for now for existing users.

All TRAI wants is people quit watching TV. So don’t complain about tariff hike. Say bye to your TV and contribute towards nation building.

Or if you are a rich guy, continue as usual.:sneaky:
Bruh only those who have old parents in home will understand that it's not even possible to cut the line and ditch the TV. These are their main time pass, how can you take it away from them? If I were living alone I would not have taken any DTH/cable connection to start with.

Anyway, TRAI gets revenue from DTH companies right? So if they want us to stop watching TV where the heck would they get that from?

By the way, if there's any Bengali here, kindly advise me as to which pack to select to watch Bengali channels only after this new tariff is implemented. I checked Self Care app (website shows nothing still by the way), and there are as usual many entries for Bengali channels, which confuses me as ever! Like under HD section there's one entry called 'Bengali Hd 5m Rs. 60, well 5m means what; 5 months? So like 12 rupees per month? And what all HD channels will it provide? Even under Bengali SD pack, Zee Bangla and Star Jalsha are listed for Rs. 22.4 as standalone channels, but right below them there's one Zee Bangla and Star Jalsha Top Up which are Rs. 10 only! So confusing!
