Good news for airtel dth

Please don't make such unwarranted comments as all DTH or Cable service providers add various FTA channels across genres ....while some may have audience and few may not but it helps operators earn carriage fee revenue which helps them improve / expand their service offerings.

Just to add in last 6 or 8 months Tata Play has added more of such channels too but i rarely see anyone poking fun or questioning the same while on a daily basis we see different members laughing out at/criticising Airtel Digital TV when same is done by them.

Now some members will come out with standard response that Airtel Digital TV is not adding certain missing popular HD channels for which i have already explained the reason number of times hence shall not repeat the same.



Once LCN Realignment happens pending additions will happen bcoz as pwr my observation /understanding adding channels like MTV HD, Vh1 HD etc. would require changes in sequence of channel placement for this broadcaster as well as others across genres to comply with slab (how channels get placed for a broadcaster in various genres) agreed upon in updated RIO agreement......also LCN Realignment is required to create empty LCN slots

Bro LCNs are empty for adding MTV HD, MTV beats HD,DD Sports HD,DD India HD and DD National HD next to its SD LCN..But only reason that airtel is not adding them bcos these are low revenue generating channels for them and also will get nothing as carriage fees. Also there is no issue of bandwidth as it added Star Sports 4k instantly which consumes about equal to 10 HD channels bandwidth..So only reason they don't want to add these channels as it's not profitable for them..They don't care for its customers.. Also DIno bro I am loyal customer of airtel since last 15 yrs having 1 primary and 2 secondary connections at my home.But I don't support airtel blindly ..Tata play is far better than airtel in adding good channels.

Bro LCNs are empty for adding MTV HD, MTV beats HD,DD Sports HD,DD India HD and DD National HD next to its SD LCN..But only reason that airtel is not adding them bcos these are low revenue generating channels for them and also will get nothing as carriage fees. These r not false expectations...soon SES 7 satellite life span too expiring and Airtel will not put excess load on it to accommodate more channels which is why they added Star Sports 4K and other new channels after shuffling channels on SES 7 transponders to free up bandwidth in a way that transponders which r low in power do not have more channels on it so that there r no signal disruptions caused to its subscribers.....also many channels were added on SES 9 transponders which too r almost full and they cannot increase FEC rate to increase bandwidth as in upcoming rainy seasons signal issues will arise by doing so


Most importantly since its inception in October 2008 Airtel Digital TV has maintained consistent focus on delivering good overall transmission quality be it audio, video, signals etc.. alongwith providing large bouquet of channels + service offerings at affordable prices which it shall continue to do so and further improve upon points where it lags behind.....this is why Airtel Digital TV is mostly gaining subscribers each quarter /year + successful in reducing cguen rate despite other operators losing customers on a regular basis barring very few quarters in last few years
