TRAI s New rule can face no trouble in Urban area but in category B town and rural area nobody interested to pay as per new rule . That is real hurdle faced by TRAI and DPO, MSO,LCOs. Brodcaster may b forced to decrease channel price specialy for attract lower invest maker customers.

Yeh just saw Pune LCO filed similar case in Bombay HC and Bombay HC judge asked Calcutta HC order

Press Release from TRAI:
It has been brought to notice of the Authority that the new Framework
may not be implemented due to the stay granted by Hon'ble High Court of
Kolkata. In this regards it is clarified that TRAI had filed an application in
Hon'ble High Court of Kolkata requesting for vacation of stay. After hearing
the matter Hon'ble High Court of Kolkata has kindly vacated the stay.

Usually TN is first on getting Stays, seems this time WB got it first. for those who say "All delayed in India due to court Interfere only", i would say, this is DEMOCRACY and changes has to be gradual and not overnight. People need time to decide their way of living. If people want something, then they should have it.
