Only 3 Odia GEC channels

As it is, Sarthak was acquired by Zee. There is no need for Ortel to sell Tarang to anyone. Ortel can remain a strong independent player like ETV is in Telugu. Rather than new networks launching channels, I am waiting for Zee Sarthak HD (Tarang HD might be too much).

Tarang Already applied for Tarang HD licence to MIB said last year along with City Plus Odisha .

I expect Star to acquire Tarang TV(except its news channel Odisha TV &spiritual channel Prarthana TV) just like what they did in South India.So that people can watch ISL and other sports through Alankar TV. But people have to pay more if this happens

Here we are not talking about acquisition.We are talking about growth.Zee Kalinga seezed operations when it acquire Sarthak TV.Before we had 5 GEC .Zee Kalinga,Colors Odia,Sarthak TV and Tarangtv.Now we have only 3 with merger of Zee and Sarthak .So we need growth not acquisition...

It's because sarthak ala carte is Rs. 22 where taranga is providing 4 channels in the price of Rs. 18.
