The channel has tied up with Radio One to
air a show titled 'The Pepsi MTV Indies'
every Thursday at 10 pm.
Pepsi MTV Indies, the recently launched music
entertainment channel, has tied up with Radio
One 94.3 FM to extend its content offerings to
listeners.
Titled 'The Pepsi MTV Indies Thursday Show',
the show airs every Thursday at 10 pm. It runs
for three hours and aims at bringing to the
listeners the best indie music from across the
country. Besides the TV channel and radio, the
Pepsi MTV Indies content is also available to
consumers online (Pepsi MTV Indies)
and on mobile (Pepsi MTV Indies app).
The show has also been launched on radio to
commemorate World Music Day on June 21.
Radio Jockey Teejay Sidhu will host it. 'The
Pepsi MTV Indies Thursday Show' will be
available simultaneously to listeners across
seven cities including Mumbai, Delhi,
Bangalore, Kolkata, Pune, Ahmadabad and
Chennai and will feature indie artists making
their appearance on a regular basis on Pepsi
MTV Indies. The show will also cover new
artists, Pepsi MTV Indies' gigs, online initiatives
and artist interviews from time to time.
Sumeli Chatterjee, head - marketing & insights,
MTV and Pepsi MTV Indies says, "Pepsi MTV
Indies discovers new music, celebrates artistes
and lives across platforms. We are already
available across TV, web, mobile and multiple
live experiences. The Pepsi MTV Indies
Thursday Show is therefore a natural extension
to radio as a platform. The content will
showcase some of the handpicked features
from Indies stable like interviews with the
artiste, pro-pick of the week, gig alerts and
#BigIndiesPlaylist."
Vineet Singh Hukmani, MD and CEO, RadioOne
adds, "Radio One has always believed in the
staying power of Indian bands and the loyal
tribe of fans who propel this. And with our
partner Pepsi MTV Indies we are now
propelling this genre to new heights which will
do wonders for the Indie artists." Pepsi MTV
Indies also reflects other subcultures like
independent films, art, comedy and all
independent art, beyond mainstream. The
channel is available across leading DTH and
digital cable platforms.
