I dont think French Open HD feed or Star Sports Addon feed is illegal. Star/Neo had the rights to show the feed and they shared it with DTH Operators. Just like all Sports channels share feed with Doordarshan for Indian Cricket Matches.

Star Chinese in itself is a foreign channel with no permissions to be telecasted in India. Local Cable Operators are known to show such channels for a long time now. They show whatever they want. I get many channels from Pakistan on my local cable but they dont have permissions in India

This is Common in Himachal as there is a large part of Tibbetian People using cable services so cable operators provide 3-4 Chinese/Tibbet channels illegally :tup
