&Pictures kicks off festive bonanza with back-to-back films

MUMBAI: Adding to the spirit of the festive season, Hindi movie channel &Pictures has introduced a new line-up of back-to-back movies for October. The channel will also air world TV premieres and a rock concert.

From 1 to 11 October, the channel will host an 11-day ‘Happy Dussehra Festival’ with an assortment of romantic movies, action thrillers, horror flicks and mellow comedies.
The festival kick-starts with romantic film ‘Vivaah’, followed by action thrillers like ‘Bruce Lee – The Fighter’ and ‘Gadar’, and comedy films like ‘Main Tera Hero’ and ‘Dhamaal’.

Moreover, there will be popular movies like ‘Mass’ and ‘Lingaa’, along with the premiere of horror flick ‘3 A.M.’ starring Rannvijay Singh.

Soon after the film festival, the channel will showcase ‘Fusion Flicks’, wherein Bollywood will meet Hollywood, from 12 to 22 October. The segment will air Hollywood blockbusters like ‘Man of Steel’, ‘Ghost Riders’, ‘The Amazing Spider Man 2’ and ‘Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol’, coupled with Bollywood hits like ‘Tamasha’, ‘Chennai Express’ and ‘Nayak: The Real Hero’.

The channel will also present its ‘Diwali Picture Carnival’, which will run from 23 October to 2 November. Comprising some of the popular family blockbusters from across the globe, the carnival will feature ‘Men in Black II’, ‘The Karate Kid’ and ‘Mortal Kombat’ along with ‘Raja Natwarlal’ and ‘Phir Hera Pheri’.

In terms of premieres, the channel will host the world TV premiere of ‘Happy Bhag Jayegi’ on 15 October, followed by the premiere of ‘Baaghi’ on 23 October.

The channel will also air the ‘ Rock On 2: Live in Concert’ featuring the entire star cast of the film including Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal and Shraddha Kapoor. The concert will be aired on 23 October, 6 pm.
