Now it's mandatory for R1 Participants to be operation condition at the time of notification issue and must be available on 1 Private DTH

Solution: I have a solution for this too. Prasar Bharati should Mandate Channels to available on atleast one Private DTH and 2 year broadcasting experience is must for Regional language channels.

Firstly, HD channels auction will happen in MPEG-4. If no channel participates then the 2 HD slots will become 6 SD channel slots.

There are not too many FTA HD channels available currently (Maybe 0) but they have created it for the future. If Dangal or Shemaroo launch their HD channels then they can participate.
