The mandate includes creating the digital strategy across owned media, social media and digital media planning and buying.
Digital marketing agency Quasar Media has won the digital duties for Indian television brand Philips. The full service mandate includes creating the digital strategy encompassing owned media assets, social media and digital media planning and buying. The account will be handled by Quasar's Mumbai office.
PE Electronics was set up in India in 2010 to bring two internationally renowned brands, Philips in the television domain and Electrolux in the home appliances domain to the Indian market through a brand licensee agreement.
Under the exclusive brand license agreement with Philips, PE Electronics aims to deliver innovations in the television space to the Indian consumer. PE Electronics is based out of Mumbai and employs over 1500 people.
Neeraj Sethi, CEO, PE Electronics, says, "TV is a dynamic industry and we needed a disruptive agency with a unique approach, which Quasar was able to demonstrate. We are impressed with Quasar's capability as an all-rounder in the digital industry, their thought leadership and, above all, their passion and enthusiasm to partner with us made them an obvious choice as our digital partner."
Gaurav Nabh, head, Quasar, says, "Quasar will manage a 360-degree digital marketing campaign. Our task includes setting up a digital ecosystem encompassing Philips television and its consumers to facilitate positive engagements and build strong brand association." Quasar is part of the WPP Group, managed by GroupM in India.
