MUMBAI: Two employees of a Ratnagiri local cable operator (LCO) have been arrested by the police for illegally telecasting Ten Cricket on their network.
The arrests took place at the Chiplun office of Vishwadarshan Network Cable, Taj Television said in a statement.
The anti piracy team of the broadcaster, along with the local police, conducted the raid on 25 May. In the raid, the local police arrested two officials of the cable operator - Imitiaz Kadar Mukadam and Amol Tanaji Jadhav - for downloading the signals of Ten Cricket illegally.
Taj Television said that the LCO was telecasting the signals of the channel without entering into any agreement with the company.
