Then why they choose the name, News X Kannada for their upcoming Kannada news channel instead of India News Karnataka/Kannada?

NewsX has a better brand presence in Karnataka; people here barely know 'India News'. They are encashing the brand presence. Even if they start other news channels in South, they may go with NewsX branding only.

Edit: ITV Network calls this cluster of 'India News' channels as 'Hindi Heartland'. So they will use this branding only for northern part of India.
