Star is present in Malayalam in a similar way, with Asianet.

Asianet had been acquired by Star long time ago. So, this channel belongs to Star Network fully.

But, Viacom & ETV both are two different network. Viacom18 had bought ETV's all regional channels (except telugu) & rebranded them with Colors prefix. So, in Telugu region, where ETV is a popular brand, Viacom is totally absent there.
