Only 3 movies in 2018 (Padmaavat, Andhadhun and Baazaar). This is even less than Sony which is known for taking the rights of 80% South and 20% Hindi movies (YRF, SPN Studios and others). Viacom18 is as guilty as Sony for prioritising South over Hindi, at least as far as the SD channel is concerned. But this isn't reflected in their HD channel. Cineplex HD is almost entirely Hindi whereas Max HD is mostly South and only a little Hindi.

Bhai, by stating that they have expanded Bollywood Movie database i was not referring to just new movie acquisition, infact i was pointing out to overall library they boast of which mostly includes movies from past 3 decades.

Many movies previously with Sony or Star are now with Viacom, also they get to air many UTV productions thanks to long standing relations.

Coming to ur point of Sony and others giving dubbed south indian movies more weightage than bollywood movies, well reason are two - firstly at present bollywood is producing trash content and few limited movies which r good get divided between channels or are having contracts with specific networks. Secondly it is harsh truth but content selection team on all networks do not have proper strategy to get viewer atrention, they keep on repeating same movies over n over hence people literally stop tuning into it and prefer fresh dubbed content instead. Just look at EPG of Star Gold or Movies OK, u will see Hero No. 1/Coolie No. 1/ Singham / Nayak repeating numerous times every week. On top of it movies keep changing hands and if u have watched Nayak 100 times on Zee previously, will u watch it 20 times a month on Star too? Obviously no.

This is why Bollywood isn't a hit on television. Either of above needs correction but i am sure nothing will be done. Even if they acquire fresh titles, it's contract period should be small may be 1 year or max 2 years and then again library should be retuned , this is only way to get good ratings.

Sony didn't get success with Bollywood only HD feed hence shifted to tested success formula, Zee was not following this but near christmas or new year they started simulcasting SD movie schedule on its HD channels. This may be due to TRAI Tariff order as anyone chosing HD bouquet would not have got access to SD feed of these channels but now HD subscribers would not miss watching Sher Ka Shikaar, International Rowdy, Businessman 2, Shiva The Super Hero etc. :)

By the way Sony has done one awesome thing which is launching Max2 and airing best bollywood movies from past decades on it. It's collection is not only nice , diverse but unlike others they keep on making changes thus viewer interest is sustained continuosly. I regularly watch movies on it, much better than even Zee Bollywood

New Channel from Discovery & ITV NETWORK.
I guess, Discovery Plus will replace Jeet Prime.
& P Studio will be a punjabi movie channel from iTV Network. Well done iTV Network, they are recently concentrate on Punjabi market, P Tunes for punjabi music, P Plus for punjabi entertainment, India News Punjab for punjabi news, & now P Studio, seems a punjabi movie channel.
