They told me take the stb myself to the dealer.and pay ₹999/- to get a connection +2months rechargw without any old balance.i asked them if they can do that online,they said no

Yes they are behaving like they are doing any 'bada ehasaan' (big favor).
 
me too going to TS as it has more channels and services than Sun Direct, Sun Direct showing partiality to their own channels. Most of the channels are missing in base pack, if we want that channel we have to pay extra money for that, at the same time other dth having that channels in their base packs.
 
But if u go by RDTV website, they have only mentioned about TS. They have officially tied up with TS, rest are just trying their luck
