Reliance Broadcast Network Ltd. has posted an operating loss (before financial charges and tax) of Rs 125.16 million from the television business for the six-month period ended 31 March 2011.
The company jointly runs three English entertainment channels – Big CBS Prime, Big CBS Love and Big CBS Spark – along with CBS Corp.
The revenue from the television segment during the second-half stood at Rs 10.63 million.
The company’s total capital deployed in the segment, as of 31 March, stood at Rs 343.07 million.
RBNL had acquired the business of Cinestar Advertising (Imagine Showbiz) on 16 January. Before that, it entered into a JV with CBS Studios on 29 December to launch English entertainment channels through Big CBS.
