The veteran director of over three decades experience SD Ankalgi has called for the respect to producers from all sectors. He was speaking at the 'Belli Hejje' of Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy as chief guest in a face to face conversation.
The respect and safeguarding the producer was so good in the 50, 60 and 70's. It is missing nowadays. The person who invests and takes it at the last is treated badly. This should stop. This is the major reason for me to stop producing films in the last few years.
