Watched Pushpa 2 today in a fully packed auditorium. Till today I had never seen this many people in the theater that I went to. There was almost no place to stand in the waiting area.

Now let's come to the movie.

  • The songs were really bad. And there were too many of them at random points, breaking the flow of the movie. Only one song was good. Which song I am talking about, you'll realize when watching the movie.
  • The action was over the top as expected. It's fine as long as it looks convincing, but for some scenes the wire work was really bad.
  • Story is basically non-existent. It's just one set-piece (or situation) after another. From start to end it's just side-quests. And there is a entry for each one of these side quests (I have lost count). I think they already had the full story written, but then they decided to make another part and inserted random things in the movie. The grand scheme of things is unclear throughout. It's like how Shin-Chan gets stuck in some problem every episode and then he has to figure out how to get out of it.
  • There are many continuity issue. The first 10-15 minutes is there for no reason. After that there is no mention of it. About how that situation was overcomed. Did it happen in the future, or in the past? They completely abandoned it. Just like that, another plot line (this time a major one) is abandoned. And instead they introduce totally new characters and "situations".
  • Shekhawat's story was going really well, but the that too ended in a very anticlimactic way.

BUT

Do these things really matter?

  • If you ask me if I enjoyed the movie, then the answer would HECK YEAHH! I enjoyed it like crazy. From start to end. The set-pieces/situations that have been created were really enjoyable to watch with a extremely satisfying ending to each one of them.
  • People were hooting, cheering, and clapping like crazy. No one cared about the things that I mentioned in the first part of the review. A regular movie goer doesn't analyse it that much.
  • 3 hours 15 minutes runtime? Doesn't matter. It felt like 2 hours to me. Not for one minute I got bored. And everyone I heard were saying the same after the movie ended.
  • When the Pushpa 3 title appeared, people went insane.
  • Everyone was standing and clapping after the movie ended.
  • Allu Arjun's performance was insanely good. Only he can pull off such an over the top role with conviction. The remaining cast was also good.
So, summing it up. If you want to have a carefree and fun few hours of escapism, go ahead and watch it while the crowd is still there. But if you are looking for something "deep" with well-knitted storyline/plot, then it's not for you. Because it's just not there. Everything already mentioned in the first part of the review.

6/10 as a "movie".
But 10/10 for entertainment.

That's it. Phew! Sorry if it was too long. Woh zara baaton baaton mein beh gaya. 😅

Yeah buddy. You took my words. Finished now. Overall, if you are going for entertainment, you'll get it 100 %. But don't go on technicality then. I was not bored. I enjoyed the movie.

Pushpa 2 - The Fall. From beginning until the end you will find zero logic. Antagonist here are turned into joke. Sinu and his wife are a bunch of clown. Banwar Singh (Fahad) is a bigger clown. Pushpa has edge in everything. The man with daddy issues never faces any consequences for his action. He always win against government against cops. He wins everywhere. Never loses a men or a piece of wood while doing so. Never loses in any scenario. The first version had a proper storyline, memorable dialogues and soothing songs. This one has neither. Only good part were when Allu Arjun dances in Kali mata's avatar. Also the last fight where he fights with his teeth. Both were new and unique to me. Kill had better action than Pushpa. Specially, the one at the beginning was just bad of which storyline leads to nowhere. Overall the movie felt like a glorified web series with many sub-plots which went nowhere. Unlike the last time where I was looking forward to sequel because of Fahad. This one has nothing for me or anyone to care about the sequel.

Correct. It's as if multiple episodes have been combined to make a movie out of it.

Accurately analysed by Anmol in his video.

What is Zero Se Restart ? It's the making & behind the scenes of 12th Fail and they released it in theatres. 🤣
