Rf remote

I want to control my HD 2011 stb from little distance. Can new rf remote work with old stb or is it possible to exchange 2011 HD box with 555/2233?

What is so special in RF remote ? U can use any remote. Isn't your old remote working ?

RF remote works as a wireless device. No need to point the remote toward stb. It can work within 25 meters from stb.

@chp Every remote is wireless. Have u seen a wired remote ?
Signal from remote reflected by walls of room. So every remote works even if u don't point it towards stb.

The RF remote needs to be paired with the STB. It is not like IR remote, which can be used with multiple STBs (same model). Hence, there will not be any issue.

However, D2h RF remote is of the worst quality. Buttons are hard and does not work properly.

IR remote is also a RF remote. So what is so special in D2h RF remote? U said u have to pair it with STB that means it is programmable remote like universal remote available in ADTV or Tatasky. Anything special?

RF MEANS Radio Frequency Remote and IR means Infrared Remote. IR will work only when u point towards STB exactly but RF will work from any direction, even from outside of the room within 25 meters range.

And for your kind information I also have a d2h hd connection with stb model 2222 and RF remote works perfectly .
