More telugu shows for a telugu movie is not at all a problem for Kannadigas. Kannada people had requested the team to release more number of Kannada shows many a times. Even when many Hindi shows and few Tamil shows were available for booking, there was not even one kannada show available before that "Boycott RRR" campaign. Actually the same thing had happened during Pushpa release too.
The problem is, in Bengaluru being a cosmopolitan city, many people prefer watching in the original version rather than dubbed versions. Dubbed Kannada versions are required in the centre, west and north part of Karnataka along with few parts in southern Karnataka. Generally, these distributors release Kannada version in some corner part of Bengaluru and due to low bookings, will stop releasing it further.
Now, after that "BoycottRRR" trend, most of the screens are filling fast and infact couple of screens are already sold out. So people are happy. We Kannadigas never said that we don't want to watch the movie, instead we just asked for releasing the movie in our language that's it. It was received wrongly by many people and that led to chaos in social media.
