MUMBAI: Singapore pay TV service provider StarHub will launch Multi Screen Media’s (MSM) family entertainment channel SAB on channel number 163 from 21 July.
In addition to catching laugh-a-minute linear programming from SAB TV, audiences in Singapore will also be among the world’s first to enjoy SAB TV content at their convenience, as the channel will be available on demand from the day of launch.
The on-demand channel will showcase 20 hours of SAB’s best content with 10 hours of fresh content injected every month. StarHub media business unit head Lee Soo Hui said, “We are delighted to bring SAB TV, a highly popular channel synonymous with side-splitting hilarity to audiences in Singapore. On top of that, we are proud to be the first country in the Asia Pacific region to offer viewers the convenience of enjoying SAB TV content anytime they desire with SAB TV On Demand.
SAB TV’s programme mix offers a good variety of fun and entertaining comedy entertainment that will surely be a hit with our viewers.” StarHub TV customers can sample a free preview of SAB from 12 pm on 21 July to 12 pm on 5 August. Thereafter, customers may subscribe to the SAB pack priced at $8.56 (including GST).
The SAB pack comprises SAB and SAB TV On Demand. SAB will also be made available on StarHub TV Anywhere to enable viewing on the go. StarHub will serve up a good dose of laughter for its customers through its Hindi shows like ‘Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chasmah’, ‘Lapataganj’, ‘F.I.R’ and ‘Tu Mere Agal Bagal Hai’.
