SCV directly reaches subscribers bypassing LCO's.

SCV's STB ad now has added direct SCV phone numbers for immediate STB installation, is SCV trying to implement DAS somehow or is trying to sell as much as STB's to subscribers so the LCO's wont be able to move out and get struck as SCV wont refund STB money and subscribers wont pay additional money for a new STB from a new MSO?

Am expecting change of MSO in chennai soon. (soon in the sense , it might take atleast 6 to 12 months atleast for whole chennai).
Already Chromepet moved out from SCV, hearing TCCL , Arasu in some places, and also most LCOs not have good relation with SCV. (Only Some Political based LCOs will have good relation with SCV)

Yes, when other MSO's offer better package at much lesser cost they have to reduce the price to stay in the game, still offering packages at so higher price wont be accepted by all.

If they can reduce the price of their Rs 215 package to Rs 185 (similar to TCCL) would be great. :k :k

They are just marketing where now scv will call the LCO and say your area customer is interested in getting STB thats it ... they cannot bypass LCO at any cost. SCV is not DTH to reach customer directly.

Yes, the package and payments can be only through LCO's but this seems a new tactic to get more STB customers as LCO's are reluctant to market the SCV STB.

In the event of the LCO changing MSO the subscribers who got STB just a few months back will deny the change unless they get STB refund that SCV may not give and thus creating a deadlock and inconvenience to the LCO's.
