Is this tp activated in dishtv?

This transponder is from south east asia beam for iptv, not for dishtv

Somebudy answer my question After NSS 6 stop working is dishtv continuously gets the signal of DD Free dish.

I think it won't effect dish tv unless dd migrates to mpeg4 format, because both nss6 and ses 8 are at same location at 95°e

No migration required as DD is going to encrypt their signal according to news

DD Free Dish will not encrypt the signals because as the name indicates "Free Dish"

Free dish means free from subscription. It doesn't mean unencrypted. Broadcaster are not interested in free dish as there is no subscriber data so Prasar bharati has decided to encrypted their signal according to news report.

why broadcaster needs subscriber data.? how this 'encrypting dd direct signals' helps to know subscriber data?

Once encrypted , each decoder will need some authorition like number print.

This will enable stb to send some signal back which all help to understand number of subscriber and also vierwership.
