I read all above replies and I got to know new things about Hungama. We had CRT TV with local cable till 2012, so most of my childhood I missed Hungama. But, then we bought new TV and soon followed by DTH.So for me always Doraemon = Disney.
Always I will remember Hungama for so many good cartoons it showed.Shinchan, Super Strikas, Perman, UltraB, Atashinchi,Chota Startup (Original, new and very good). Very fond memories of Shinchan movies during holidays.
You will be always missed !!

WBD is allowed to purchase hungama?
Yes, but I don't think they will since Hungama's current worth will be around 50 million USD. And, I honestly think WBD shouldn't buy Hungama as their recent management is slowly killing CN. I don't want to see the same happen to Hungama. I guess it's better to let it die gracefully.

I first discovered Hungama around the end of 2011. At first, I was all about Shinchan, which was the main reason I tuned in. But over time, I opened up to other shows. Disney Channel was my destination for Doraemon, but I soon realized that Hungama was an awesome second choice for it too. Honestly, I think Doraemon fits perfectly on Hungama only!

Besides Shinchan and Doraemon, I enjoyed watching shows like Hero Bhakti Hi Shakti Hai, UltraB, and Ninja Warrior. I also loved Gon The Stonage Boy, Luckyman, Perman, Shinchan and Doraemon movies. Especially Bungle in the Jungle & Haigure. 😍

What really made my viewing experience special was the fantastic logo and graphics. I actually mentioned that last month. 👇
Agree with Shiv verma bro Hungama tv always had interesting promos and graphics which made the channel interesting for its viewers get to see something new , and also used to add new shows or new episodes of animated shows after few weeks/months.

was excited to see new episodes of detective conan (anime series) - interesting mysterious show -high school kid converts to small kid due to trial medicine side effect - using alias identity and gadgets made by Dr Agasa solving case. Seeing all your comments, I’m feeling sorry that I never watched Hungama as a kid. The main channel I watched until the age of 7 or 8 was Pogo, partly due to M.A.D. and also because of Takeshi’s Castle, Noddy and other shows, both Indian and Western. Hungama being a Hindi channel, I didn’t watch it.

As a result, I didn’t know about how crores of Indian kids grew up on Japanese cartoons Doraemon and Shinchan on Hungama and Ninja Hattori on Nick. Neither I nor the neighbourhood kids watched them (after I turned 10 the younger kids preferred Chhota Bheem instead, while others watched Cartoon Network shows like Ben 10) and so I was never exposed to Shinchan. Now thanks to all your comments, I know. :smile2:

I was 6 when I was introduced to Hungama TV. My cable operator uncle made me choose between some channel with nursery rhyme channel and this. I chose this. I use to watch some reality show where teenagers competed in some ferris wheel type game. I forgot the name. It aired at evening. Than some show use to air before Doraemon. I use to watch Doraemon, Kochikame and Shinchan before going to tuition. Than we stopped getting Hungama for few months for unknown reasons. Than it returned but Shinchan and Kochikame were goner. When Shinchan returned it sucked. I remember buying Shinchan merch like pencils and diaries. I use to rewrite dialogues like in comics. I miss Kochikame a lot. I also watch first dubbed movie Shaolin Soccer on Hungama too.

Bro, after some years Hungama tv started to air in all three audios- Hindi, Tamil and Telegu from 2010 approx. . I guess cable tv guys only kept single audio in Hindi even when they added new audios. otherwise the channel wouldn't have become popular only with single audio.

2000s content is just gone. Try finding old cartoons. Either it's deleted, blocked out of tv or horrendously redubbed. I am trying to find Drake and Josh. It's not available anywhere. 😭
