30 hd channels i think not possible max it would be 17 and other would be upscaled ones.

in cable conversion from analog to digital will carry more channels


normally in a analog cable network can transmit max of about 100 analog channel

in each analog channel place replace with 10 compress sd digital channels
so you can calculate how many channel can be added about 1000 channel can be added
if they utilize 50 analog channel they can add 400 sd and 30 hd digital channel
