Wow! Varun Dhawan, Hrithik Roshan to co-judge So You Think You Can Dance?
After the success of his film ABCD 2, it seems Varun Dhawan may just be on board as a judge for the desi version of the internationally acclaimed TV show So You Think You Can Dance.
Good news for Varun Dhawan fans. If all goes well, the ABCD 2 actor will finally make his TV debut with a dance reality show. According to a report on Filmfare.com, Varun is in talks with the producers of the Indian version of So You Think You Can Dance, to be aired on &TV. He was earlier said to be in the running to host Khatron Ke Khiladi 7, along with Sidharth Malhotra, but it was Arjun Kapoor who was finalised for the show.
Also, it's believed that Bollywood heartthrob and dancing sensation Hrithik Roshan might just join Varun as a co-judge on the show. If he signs on the dotted line, So You Think... will be the second dance reality show for Hrithik. In 2011, he had made his television debut as a judge (along with Farah Khan and Vaibhabi Merchant) on Just Dance, aired on Star Plus.
The promos of the show are already on air. The auditions will start in March and the show will reportedly feature a mix of amateur and professional dancers. The show is expected to go on the floors by May or June this year.
So You Think You Can Dance first premiered on Fox channel in US and was originally produced by Simon Fuller and Nigel Lythgoe and is the flagship series of the international So You Think You Can Dance television franchise. This popular dance reality show has already been adapted for and televised in around 15 countries. Nick Lazzarini, Benji Schwimmer, Sabra Johnson, Jeanine Mason, Russell Ferguson, Lauren Froderman, Melanie Moore, Ricky Ubeda, Gaby Diaz are some of the winners of So You Think You Can Dance (United States), which has so far aired 12 seasons.
