MUMBAI: Music channel Sony Mix has associated with veteran actor Annu Kapoor for a new music-based show ‘Kuch Baatein Kuch Yaadein with Annu Kapoor’.
Launching on 8 March, the show will air at 1 pm and 9 pm every Sunday.
In the one-hour episode, Kapoor will be sharing behind-the-scene incidents, interesting facts, and trivia about songs and the movies.
Sony Mix EVP and business head Neeraj Vyas said, “This show is another example of the channel’s unflinching focus on music-focused content.
I am sure that Annu Kapoor will not just entertain our audience, but also help them delve deeper into music and experience different nuances of the music-making process. In the past, we have invited various eminent singers like Javed Ali and Arijit Singh to share ‘behind-the-song story’.
Our association with Annu Kapoor will enable us to tap trivia of the bygone Bollywood music era.” Incidentally, Kapoor already hosts a similar show on rival music channel Mastiii titled ‘The Golden Era with Annu Kapoor’.
On Sony Mix, Kapoor will leverage his 30 years of experience in Indian cinema to bring to the audience melodies and lesser-known tales behind their making, along with facts and trivia about songs and the movies in which they feature.
The show has been packaged keeping in mind the nostalgia associated with the music of a bygone era and the first season will have 13 episodes in all.
