Bollywood Celebrities and corporate head honchos partner with Super Fight League for inaugural season

Super Fight League (SFL), the world’s leading mixed martial arts (MMA) league is all set to enthrall the Indian audience beginning 20th January 2017 till 25th February 2017. Bollywood Superstars Ajay Devgn,Arjun Rampal, Randeep Hooda and Music director duo Salim-Sulaiman will own a stake in different teams for the inaugural season.

Ajay Devgn will be the co-owner of‘Mumbai Maniacs’ along with Amit Burman from Dabur, Arjun Rampal will be the co-owner of Delhi Heroes along with Aditya Munjal from Hero Cycles. Much-admired actor Randeep Hooda co-owns the team ‘Haryana Sultans’ alongside Kanav Parwal from SPA Capital. Salim Merchant and Sulaiman Merchant will co-ownUP Nawabswith Jaskaran Punihani and Navraj Jaura from Jaura Group.

There is a distinctive point scoring system that separates Super Fight League from all of the other leagues. Each SFL team will comprise of six players (five male fighters and one female fighter) who will be competing in six different weight categories and evaluated on the basis of a 5 point scoring system. Here’s a great example of how the SFL team competition keeps an audience in their seats.

The Super Fight League recently signed a momentous deal with Sony Pictures Network India (SPN) who will be the league’s official broadcast partner. The Super Fight League will commence on 20th January, 2017 until 25th, February 2017. Ace TV & Radio Host Siddharth Kannan will be the official host for the inaugural season which will be telecasted LIVE and exclusive, every Friday, Saturday & Sunday, 7:00 PM onwards on SONY ESPN & SONY ESPN HD channels and can also be streamed live on SonyLIV

SFL to start on 20th Jan; Sony Max to air special event – Sony ESPN & Sony ESPN HD airs matches

Live action of the first season of the Super Fight League (SFL), the world’s leading mixed martial arts (MMA) league will begin on 20th January 2017 at the Siri Fort Sports Complex, New Delhi.

The opening ceremony will be telecasted on Sony Max at 6 PM on 20th January and will feature performances from Music director duo Salim-Sulaiman who also co-own the UP Nawabs team in the league. Celebrity team owners Ajay Devgn from Mumbai Maniacs, Arjun Rampal from Delhi heroes and Randeep Hooda from Haryana Sultans amongst other celebrities will grace the opening ceremony.
The first fight-night will see a clash of fists between Arjun Rampal’s Delhi Heroes and Randeep Hooda’s Haryana Sultans at 7PM on Sony ESPN and Sony ESPN HD.

The Super Fight league will consist of 8 teams with 2 teams battling it out each fight night. The matches will be telecasted live on Sony ESPN and Sony ESPN HD, 7 PM onwards on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The season one match schedule is attached below for reference.
