Sony Pictures Networks India (SPN), the Indian arm of Sony Pictures Entertainment, has launched a new independent content division called Studio NXT to create quality content and new IPs.
“We will create and develop original IPs for TV and digital platforms as well as work across fiction and non-fiction properties that we have, including all rights that belong to Sony. Properties like KBC, ‘Dus Ka Dum’ and some long-running shows are perfect to create in regional languages,” Khan told ET. “This is the first time in history of KBC that the show will be co-produced by us.” Studio NXT will launch with a completely new team and the announcement is expected in a month.
