9:30pm and 6:30am are still good :sp, but 12:30am and 3:30am :'( would be a nightmare for Sports lovers, specifically for Weekdays for those who are working..... :s:s
Also with no 2 matches being played simultaneously, except for last Round Robin match Sony will do a good Job with 1 SD & 1 HD channel.....

12.30a.m.,1.30a.m. are ok.But 3.30a.m. is odd timing.
If we watch uefa cl,europa league at same time,why can't watch fifa wc?

Not sooooo big blow as Star will earn more money from cricket than Sony(from fifa) because Indians are mad about cricket and we all know what revenue comes from Football. Virtually Star has total control over world cricket(ICC) as we Indians are the BOSS in ICC thanks to BCCI and of-course Mr N. Srinivasan is with star.

The revolution of Star will last as long as long as India is playing well. They have so much money invested in cricket, specially Indian Cricket, in both sponsorship & and broadcasting rights that even if India performs badly for 6 months they will suffer very badly. Because of this investment they have shifted all the non cricketing sports to just one channel. The reason ESPN Star management was so successful for 17 years was there equal focus & preference for other sports besides cricket despite not having the Indian cricket for most of the period.
After the exit of ESPN, Star is on the troublesome path of NEO being cricket centric and will eventually end a big looser. This already happening as they recently lost Australian Open & FIFA World Cup to Sony.

I pretty much sure Fans in India will definitly watch Matches at any time....!
Fifa Wc comes in btwn 5 years and i will watch each nd every match for 1 mnth for Sure....!!

If They Acquire others rights like Seria a Italian league which rights expire this with star India this year plus La liga Spanish league rights expires in 2015 then they will surely launch another sports channel due to so many sports to be broabcasted by Six
