Yes, looks like this will be available for duration of IPL.
Surprising that MSM is allowing Tata Sky to add this only as Event based HD channel, other DTHs too can complain about this right? because they would also ideally do not want this channel outside IPL...

Its not showing Any events. Its showing only IPL logo and Sony SIX logo as official broadcaster. And coming soon...

couple of things,
1) If they were going to Add event based channel, they would have added it couple of days before IPL start, and not 1 week before the event
2) Since EPG is saying Channel Coming soon, are they using the space in current to TP promote the Sony Six HD channel, and then add the channel from new TP ?? (as not sure how they cand add Sports HD channel in current TP)
