I do not regret cord cutting because it's cheaper to legally watch sports in stable and better quality (talking about 4K) on DTH. Compare cost of United Sports 2 HD with Zee5. Same applies to Sony Ten 1 HD compared to Sony Liv. Take additional bandwidth cost compared of NCF of cable/DTH operator which is much cheaper than broadband. Sports is carry DTH on it's back. They need to keep things like Tata Play FanCode at reasonable prices for more people to watch. Also Sony can contribute by launching a 4K sports channel since most of their content is International events of that have been covered in 4K since over a decade. That can have a big library of content readily available in 4K.

Only sports can revive satellite channel and dth industry
It's more feasible for broadcasters too. TV rights are cheaper than satellite rights. Return is also good compared to streaming. There is next to no piracy of sports channel's signals. Same isn't the case with streaming.

But if 50fps smooth streaming become common. that advantage also ends for dth. is that possible in india soon?

Fancode should start TV channel.
Sony & Star sports bouquet price should be reduced to attract TV subscribers.
Fancode owners closing their business operations one by one, not surprised eventually Fancode shutting or selling stakes to Jio Star/Zee.

I do not regret cord cutting

Oh My Wow GIF

Fancode will not be closing too soon. Only fancode shop has been closed down mainly due to low margins & dream11 because of ban by GOI.
Money based app too closed, maybe they waiting for partners to continue fancode.
