For the same reason I think they aired t20 series on secondary channels

When jio cinema won digital right of IPL immediately they announced that they will telecast Free IPL on Sports18 khel after sometime they realise that they had only one digital right but now it seems their dream may come true, in my opinion they will telecast at least opening match, weekend and play off matches of IPL2025 on sports18 khel/star sports khel, Almost everything available on this channel Ranji Trophy,WPL,ISL,PKL,some FIH Pro league matches,Olympic,some state T20 league,Vijay hazare trophy,SMAT20 and many more..Bonaza for dd fd viewers.

Other countries CT matches on SS 2 and Sport 18 channels....

Star Sports Primary channels will show WPL except India matches

What happens to the HD regional audio feeds for all the India matches then?

IIRC, SS1 HD does not have the multi-audio feed feature as yet (going off of Sun Direct). And channels like Sports 18 3 does not have a HD version as yet.

Are they going to utilize the older SS1 Regional HD channels like Disney used to do?

Or are they going to air India matches on both SS1 HD (English audio) & SS2 HD (English Audio + Regional Audios)?

IMO, JioStar's (is Star even involved in the decision making process these days?!) planning, execution & especially their communication to the viewers is as clear as extremely muddy water

From the replies by official Social Media channel for Champions Trophy broadcast, looks like Sports18 Khel is the only channel with Hindi commentary. However, this channel isn't available on DTH (like ADTV, Tata Play), so which channel would broadcast in Hindi on the DTH Channels?

For the Ind V/s Eng ODI, it was Colors Cineplex which was broadcasting in Hindi. What about Champions Trophy?

20th February india matches Live on SS 1 channels

India CT matches not clashed with WPL


So WPL and Indian CT matches On primary channels only....
