Should Sports Networks have Regional Channels?

I actually like the Dugout. I wouldn't have minded if it aired on Star Sports Select as long as it didn't overlap with Premier League. I am saying this for the millionth time. Use Star Sports 2 and 2 HD for Premier League and F1. It will give push to it's HD variant which cost ₹22.42.

I know it's not possible for any broadcaster to simulcast all matches. That's why I said maximum number of matches. Sony can do is air 3 matches on TV. They are in a situation where they desperately need more football. Viacom entering the sports market ruined Sony's tagline of being Home of the Football.

Yes. I feel bad for Sony. I always liked them because of their scheduling, contents etc. But i think they will be okay. Sony Liv may face problem. But certainly not their TV channels. They have acquired Bundesliga which is enough to keep the weekend busy. They also have UCL which is more in demand than other top 5 leagues bar PL. TV channel wise both are evenly positioned IMO.
 
During IPL. Here's how Star Sports network should be used.

Star Sports 1: IPL
Star Sports 1 Hindi: IPL
Star Sports 1 Regional: IPL
Star Sports 2: Premier League 2nd feed
Star Sports 3: Premier League Regional feed
Star Sports Select 1: IPL Dugout
Star Sports Select 2: Premier League 1st feed

I know Star keeps Star Sports 2 reserve for IPL as IPL matches sometimes overlaps on weekends. They can easily cut off the Premier League match for 10-15 minutes. Than put it back on when first match is done and Star Sports 1 is airing the second IPL match.

US Open should also be aired on Star Sports 2. Don't know why they rather would have their main channel air highlights over live content.
 
I think 1 sports also got some backup bcz from last one week they advertise their channel all sports in one destination type slogans

Sony needs to stop taking inspiration from Star. I am not fan of their Hindi or regional channels. They should've been the first sports broadcaster with language feeds. If they had 4 channels. They would've had fresh content. They have become too repetitive nowadays. You will always have same Cricket match and WWE airing almost in 8 out of 10 channels.

Brother their biggest ratings draw is from Ring of Honor which I don't see on the poster. Of which pay per views also don't come on 1Sport. Afghan league is also finnito. Don't see them running a sports for too long with golf and one episode of Ring of Honor TV.
