As per a new information from my source, SS1 Marathi will be launched in February too. No info on date. SS1 Bangla tentative date is 21 Feb.
Super Exclusive news of the day!!
Need just one information....
I have heard few days back that along with many upcoming sports channels, Star is also planning to launch Star Sports 1 Gujarati too. Is it true?

Yes, Gujarati and Malayalam will be Phase 4 for Star Sports, tentatively scheduled to launch before ICC CWC 2019.
FYI, Phase 1 - Hindi & Tamil, Phase 2 - Telugu & Kannada, Phase 3 - Marathi & Bangla

My guess then, Phase 4 - Punjabi & Odia:huh:

I already said Phase 4 is Malayalam and Gujarati. Also, there are no more phases after Phase 4. No other regional channel after the 4 in pipeline now.

Yeah now after Trai New rule situation changed. Now Star will not take to risk in experimenting Other regional languages with a dedicated Channel.. They may give language feeds if they can :)

Star Sports will only be a cluster of English, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, Marathi, Bangla, Gujarati and Malayalam.
Star doesn't see any potential in launching sports channels in Punjabi, Odiya, Assamese, Bodo, Dogri, Kashmiri, Konkani, Maithili, Manipuri, Nepali, Sanskrit, Santhali, Sindhi and Urdu.
Also Awadhi, Bhojpuri, Bagheli, Bagri, Braj, Bundeli, Chattisgarhi, Garhwali, Godwari, Haryanvi, Kanauji, Kangri, Khariboli, Khortha, Kumaoni, Kurmali, Lambani, Magahi, Malvi, Marwari, Mewati, Rajasthani, Sadri and any other language/dialect.
