Nah, if that was T10 League would've been airing on Sports18 1 instead of Cineplex. FIFA World Cup got them the attention they wanted for Sports18 and JioCinema. And this is a channel backed by Ambanis who has done more for Indian football than AIFF has ever done in it's existence.

No offence but majority of regular football fans watch in English as Football in all major channels are shown in English while Cricket is shown in regional language.

Cant argue with Viacom coverage of FIFA WC other than the fact the first few days streaming was terrible. The experts they brought to the studio were amazing and their coverage was top class I mean India has not had 4K coverage for Cricket and the first time they bring it was for Football WC. I hated the fact that for first few days the streaming was sh*t and for the final they bought SRK otherwise you couldnt have asked more from any broadcaster

No offence but majority of regular football fans watch in English as Football in all major channels are shown in English while Cricket is shown in regional language.

Not in a state like Bengal where football is religion. Bengali commentary is actually miles ahead of Hindi commentary.

partially agree for regular football fans commentary not a case wheather ots english or bengali or any other regional language but for season fans the fans those wake up when fifa wc happen for them get to know about player history and sometimes name calling akso taugh so its easy for them if commentary happen on their mother tangue specially older people i am not saying older people not know english so that they face problem to gel but its an emotional attachments towards mother tounge

Although I am not a fan of bilingual feeds. But I am glad Sony did Olympics in Hindi. It helped people understand rules of wrestling, javelin throw etc.
