Don't know about sponsored article, but Broadcaster have released Preview from BARC. Even mention Live match/Broadcast on 2+ age Urban and Rural compared to 2022. In karnataka Dead Channel like Star Suvarna Plus too back to 2nd position in movie category after airing just first match on March 31.

STAR is publicizing their BARC ratings, but STAR Sports/IPL match1 broadcast channel cant found in BARC top 10 list till March 31 (Opening match)

It's all channels Average Ratings in their website to view public for free, only broadcaster and Paid BARC Subscribers get detailed different way data like 2+ Age, 15+ age, 50+ age, Urban, Rural, Urban + Rural, cities wise.

Can we expect Any STAR sports/IPL FTA channel in top10 list of BARC upcoming week ratings?

Overall cricket viewership itself was in decline. Than you got people cord cutting cable/dth who are now consuming sports on digital platforms. Consumer's viewing pattern has changed. Broadcasters needs to rethink before making heavy investment on broadcasting rights. They cannot bet on regional markets. Remember TV penetration is high in certain regions is because politician gave away TVs for free. They didn't gave subscription. If these people had money for subscription. They wouldn't be expecting free TVs from politicians.

Amidst the ongoing IPL, three multi system operators (MSO) from Tamil Nadu – VK Digital, TCCL and SCV – have removed Star Sports from their DPO packs.

These three dominant MSOs from the southern market combinedly control 6.5 million to 7 million television households.

The move is estimated to impact 5-5.5 million households resulting in the loss of 25 million individual viewers.
